  2. Well that's a good question about pre-caching. Everything on the map is preloaded (the engine doesn't support streaming). But as we don't have 'in-between' screens it should just load once and there you stay till you're done playing. All user interface options are done in the game world by interacting with objects. We'll be showing more of that later. The overhead projector was fun.

The things that are not pre-loaded are vehicle cockpits/avionics. They get loaded when you mount a vehicle which is usually the helipad as you start a mission. It only takes a few seconds the first time. And there's audio which is loaded on demand, there might be a considerable amount of that.

  4. I never played EECH2 (shock), nobody sent me a copy and I never saw it in a shelf. So never came across it and can't comment. I wasn't aware of much criticism of it either.

And DCS is a fine simulation that's taken years of development. We're different beasts, Black Shark is like having your very own Kamov Ka-50, it's perhaps the most advanced simulation ever found on a desktop rivalling sophisticated motion platform systems.

We're more focused on entertaining and giving you a reason to come back and play. The campaign system should give you something different each time. And eventually you'll be able to play it in a different helo such as the MH-6 or UH-60. Co-op should be a blast with mixed flights.
