FARP and base furniture

Today we got a good start on what we need to build our camps and  FARPs. The basic building block of the outer perimeter is the multi-purpose, low labour off the palette M1 Hesco barrier. Stacked vertically or horizontally, they can be used to create tough blast resistant perimeters.

Would stop an RPG and a hefty explosive charge. It comes flat-packed, off the back of a lorry, fill with local materials, takes two guys.

Standard tents for personnel.

For testing scale, zbuffer artifacts, performance and the start of the helicopter flight model, we need a stable platform for take-off...and hopefully landing again.

I present Camp Zero. Like any modern camp it comes fully equipped for emergencies, of course.

Letters can be really powerful. For example, the letter 'H' has the power to attract helicopters.

When seen from the air at near 500 feet, it looks quite vulnerable. Outposts like this will be in the front line in operations against insurgents.
