The new editor is something of a knights move. Two forward and a side-step. It's easier, a bit more robust and in about 20 minutes I was able to get some of our custom vehicles wired up with LUA scripts and actually running around in the editor. This is going to save a lot of work in the long run as each object can be assigned code to generate necessary joints, emitters and lights without the need to re-compile the game source code.
Here are two more screen-shots of the new editor in widescreen. Here is the familiar Camp Zero, the numbers of trees and view range has quadrupled.
